a mate of mine has got 6 plates valued now at about 270,000.
if he bought a house for that he would get about 2,000 a month.
form those plates he gets over 10,000 a month.
so to people who think dereg isnt going to happen its a license to print money.
maybe a good gamble 10 yeaqrs ago.
but not now.

Are we seriously expected to believe that your "mate" pulls in £385 a week per plate? (YOUR MATHS NOT MINE) That must be mondays takings go to the plate Baron then. eusasmiles.zip eusasmiles.zip

The figures sound feasible. How much do you think he should charge for a day and night track in Brighton? And How much do they charge in your area of Lincoln?

JD

There are no, not one, (Zero) rented plates in Lincoln. not any, no none at all. No plate barons here. rare as unicorns, in fact. 97% owner driver, the remainder, (1) on a wage, and happy, I understand.

That is useful information but it still doesn't answer why you think Cgulls figures are wrong?

JD

The T & G and Liverpool council are on record as stating "in restricted authorities cabs are double shifted". They imply that every owner works days and under de-restriction there would be no cover at night because of this? How do you cope, considering there is only one jockey in Lincoln and have the T & G got it wrong?

I did not say they were wrong, I find them suprising, is all.

Could not double shift if I tried (so I don't) They all drive PH Rather than Purpose Built.

You said Are we seriously expected to believe that your "mate" pulls in £385 a week per plate?

What do you find surprising in those figures? Perhaps you can offer a figure of your own that you don't find surprising?

There isn't a DEREGULATION section  , but in any case there is clearly often some overlap between the various sections, unfortunately it's not an exact science.

Is that £385 a week, including an insured vehicle, or just a plate?

The statement that I find eye watering is that it is plate only. elsewere on this site a newbie is taking £5 hour.

If it is true that a cab in brighton costs £385 +cab+insurance, etc. THey would need to pull in £1500 a week to survive. would they not?

Didn't call anyone a liar, I just find the "rent" awesome.
