It is with deepest regret that TDO has just been informed that Bryan passed away today.

The trade has lost a highly knowledgable figure who has helped out 1000s of drivers over the years.

All of us involved with TDO send out our sympathy to his family and friends.

Alex

What can I say? Shocked!!!

The fella knew his stuff, and was a well respected member of the trade, who knew everyone of note in the national taxi and ph trade.

Be very very hard to replace him at the NPHA and at PHM.

Very sad, I didn't know Bryan but you can't have been involved in this trade for long without hearing of his work. He will be missed.

Bryan will be in good company up there.

There might even be a TDO office, where he can carry on taxi/PH debate with the likes of Gusmac, JD, Mick Pollard and many more we all miss.

The next time you hear lightening, and it's a bit noisier than normal, then they have got onto the issue of de-limitation.

RIP the lot of them, TDO misses them all. =D>

Bryan, RIP mate.

I knew Bryan had been very ill for a time now but it still comes as a shock to read he has passed away.
I have known Bryan for as long as I've known Wayne and worked with him on a few little things. I used to like winding him up and getting him shouting down the phone at me and calling me a bloody scouser. I remember when you went to his office you always got well fed and I would never leave Bury without stopping at the market and filling up on white and black pudding to restock the feeezer. Bryan was an encyclopedia on hackney and private hire law and liked nothing better to go to court against councils that abused their authority. On the phone he was always generous with his knowledge and would email you with anything you required. He was recognised by the courts as an expert in hackney and ph law. I liked to think of him as a friend and hope he thought the same of me. Wherever he is now I am sure he won't be quiet. God Bless mate and sincere condolences to his family and also to his family at private hire monthly.
Trevor...

RIP

I always found Bryan to be very kind and generous towards me, his knowledge to taxi and private-hire law was second to none, its a sad loss to our colleagues in the NPHA, PHTM and the trade in general, we lost one of the good guys today.

Met him a good few times when came down to CIZILIZATION and had a few nights on the gargle with him, found him amusing knowledgeable but completely at odds with TU principles and practices!

Ultimately he backed the wrong course LEGAL as against industrial/ political actions to win the conflict against the legislators.

As for Bury a remote poxy sh!thole #-o #-o

This has been pointed out by another member in a PM. I shall be eternally grateful to him.

Bryan was a fantastic source of knowledge and a man who quite literally brought the industry together.

He will be a big loss to the trade.

All I really want to say is 'right there, right there'.

I didn't really know him I'd only met him a couple of times. May he R.I.P he certainly deserves it after all the years helping in this trade. My thoughts are with his family
