Will be good for Medigen for sure.

Freephone rentals will go through the roof.

Just for the record Mr Cgull, why did the taxi cartel come to such an end?

Was someone not being as honest as they pretended to be? [-(

i think it was a combibnation of issues.
final straw was when the two streamlines who are merging after xmas started advertising in the hospital.
we have done that work for over 20 years. thats a big cartel no no.
i think the other firms should be worried because the boss is a maverick and he has plenty of money.
most of the drivers are alos up for a ruck. so even if there dues go uop as long as they get more work they dont mind.
simple maths really.
if he put up the fees to outbid the others then as long as we get more work backj then it doesnt matter.
be nice to see the end of the cartel though.

Sounds interesting along there. :-$

Maybe your boss should go to the OFT and tell them all about the goings on. As he would be the first to bubble then he should should get away with being involved with the cartel.

Then when the others are all banged up, he can grab all their work and be the big chief.

i think the cartel are desperate for him to go back in.
but all the time he is out he can do things he cant do why he is in.
if you get my drift.

Maybe you should pass this link onto him.

http://www.oft.gov.uk/Business/Legal/Co ... artels.htm

The bit I like is;

Confess to the OFT

There are severe penalties for individuals and businesses that engage in cartels - and every incentive for those individuals and businesses to stop such practices and tell the OFT about the cartel.

Individuals can be sent to prison for up to five years and businesses can be fined up to 10 per cent of annual worldwide turnover.

If you are part of a cartel and want to end your involvement, your business may benefit from the OFT's leniency programme and you may benefit from a no-action letter.

I don't actually think a meeting would be needed.

I can and will just send my Cartel dossier in. Courtesy of Mr Scanners posts.

Maybe he opened that can of worms so he could claim the leniency under the act. :-$
