I tell my guvnor what I think of most of my drivers, and guess what?, he agrees.
You worked in fleet street, I rest my case, the unions ruined that side of the print. 5 blokes clocking on and only 2 working.
Written and spoken english is not yet a requirement for a PHV permit in london.
I live in the real world.
GMB, I don't like what my guvnor is doing to me, but, I have managed to get myself a reasonable wage, all the other companies I have spoke to offer lower wages with the same conditions.

As for Derry boy when i saw your e mail i was delighted,for had it said Londerry U.K. the alarm bells would have been ringing.
We can insist the authorities investigate every company within the city,but am reluctant without a request from membership there.

Captain you refer to the evil empire running the taxi phv? business in Derry, really who are they?Would they be connected any political party or organisation?will they take kindly to you describing them as EVIL I know nothing of the industry there,perhaps with your ORANGE sympathies you have some inside info, please inform us all.Would you also like to come out from behind that alias and let us know who you really are and what this ORANGE organisation you front up is and what its aims are?

My experience of this is that these computer booking systems have been sold on the premise that anyone can operate them with minimum training.

It is also my experience that, in the main the dispatch systems are capable of significantly more than the operator allows.

The fact of the matter here is that, in the main, clerks could make their jobs easier by allowing the computer to do the work ................... but they won't because they have to high an opinion of their own ability.

They should of course get the minimum wage, sick pay, holiday pay etc but more than that is in my opinion generous.

The only bosses i have a row with are the bad ones.We have GMB recognised companies who we work with and assist at every opportunity like the 98 of the top companies on the FTSE index who recognise Union agreements are good for businessour members recognise mutual collabaration beats aggravation every day of the week!!!!!!!!
