I used to work as a doorman in nightclubs and at one time had 9 different licences from different councils, we campained for years for a nationaly recognized badge and got it, the sia badge.
If the same can be done for doorman, why not the taxi/PHV industry?.
Of course that would mean london PHV will hopefully get a meter

I have no problem with meters in P/H vehicles.

Can anyone make a case for Excluding Meters in Private hire vehicles?

JD, as I have stated before, how can we have a meter in a car when the driver does not know where he is going, in london there are thousands of PHV drivers who were granted grandfathers rights and are clueless.
I wished I knew the answer, but I don't.

So are we going to fight ourselves over this issue, or are we going to make an attempt, however small, to get rid of un-licensed vehicles? :?

Sussex do not fall off your chair, but I totally agree with you, and I for one will do what I can. eusasmiles.zip

Kept out of this one so far,but we,ll have some perhaps 103MP.s might be of use, getting rid of unlicenced drivers dont see how you can lose. What weve learnt is dont go into the legal shenanigans get the politicians to instruct the bueracrats to formulate a solution. You can buy an opinion in your favour on virtually anything, and then spend a fortune trying to win, there are no bigger crooks in the country than Lawyers, quickly followed by the police
ORGANISE EDUCATE AGITATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who suggested legal shenanigan's?

And why did you need to use the term 'police'?

One more thing, if you have 103 MP's why's the country in such a state?

You did a good post, so why spoil it with putting in the bits about legal shenanigan's and use the term 'police'?

Sufficed to say, you could contact them 103 MP's you apparently keep in your back pocket (buts let not go there), and remind them why S75 needs repealed.
