My suspicions weren’t only based on the more than coincidental IP addresses. Lots of anon/guest posts are clearly made by the same people, and you often only have to skim read their posts to realise who they are from – having been a forum regular for a couple of years now and given that I’ve read hundreds of posts by a limited number of people people, this obviously makes it a bit easier for me to spot them, particularly in view of the relatively small number of people posting on internet forums.
Some things stand out immediately, such as writing and punctuation style, consistent punctuation and spelling mistakes, consistent phraseology, the type of arguments used and other idiosyncrasies.
To that extent, with the IP evidence narrowing things down substantially, the anon posts certainly looked very like those made in the past by Mr Scanner, and on closer inspection I’m more sure than ever that he authored not only the disputed post, but also the two that he admitted were made from his computer.
Please remember that the comments below are made in the context of over 6,000 post on here, and possibly the best part of one million words(?)

Clearly biased and totally prejudice outlook. Full of jealousy. Your view is marred by your own particular wants. You stereotype all hackney drivers. Yet I bet you would jump up and down if ph drivers were stereotyped as the dreaded unlicensed minicab trade. My God! Why do I even bother looking at this drival.
One thing that stands out immediately is the misspelling of the word ‘contributers’ in the disputed post. Funnily enough, that mistake was also used one of the posts which Scanner admits were made from his computer. Using the forum’s search facility shows that the word was used on about four other occasions, by Scanner twice, and Mick twice (and his IP is totally different). (If you use the search facility to look for particular words, it also throws up posts that have quoted or repeated the word in question, and I’ve obviously ignored them).
There are also other interesting words that, although fairly commonplace, don’t get used to often on here. ‘Jealousy’, for example. Again that is used in one of the posts that Scanner admits came from his computer. The only other use of the word on the forum was made by Scanner in the Brighton cartel thread:
‘You are full of jealousy’
Another interesting word is ‘biased’. Again not an unusual word, but not often used on this forum. But it’s used in all three of the posts above, including the two that Scanner admits were made from his computer. Apart from posts replying to that use of the word, the word has only been used a handful of times, and in totally unrelated contexts.
‘Stereotype’ is also used by Scanner’s ‘friends’ in the post above. The only other use of the word ‘stereotype’ is again by Scanner in the Brighton cartel thread.
Another pointer is the tenor of the disputed posts – the argument and tone of the disputed post is very similar to the two Scanner admits was made from his computer.
There are also more specific examples of this. For example, Scanner’s 'friends' said:
My God! Why do I even bother looking at this drival.
Last night Scanner said:
My God !! Why and I wasting my time even answering this…
I can only find one other example of ‘my god’.
And someone is certainly wasting their time here, but I don’t think it’s me.
Another pointer is the idiosyncratic use of full stops to connect half sentences…this is used in the disputed post…have a look above.
Scanner’s posts are riddled with this, for example, in reply to my accusation that the disputed post above was made by him:

Scanner’s posts are riddled with this style of sentence, how many other people do that so consistently?
