but surely if you claim to be a directory for the public then you should have all 20+ companies listed already?

just use yell.com and copy and paste the listings...

I would love to do that but didn't want to upset anyone by placing there businesses on the site without there permission.

I just wonder how much of this support goes to impressing your advertising sponsers and how much it benefits the people on here? There are a million and one such websites and they all work off advertising. Therefore it begs the question, if you ever get established how long will it be before you start charging for the privilige of being listed on your site?

Perhaps TDO should charge you a fee for advertising? What do you think about that?

Hi JD,

This site will benifit taxi companies listed as this purely promotes yourselves, which my money is being invested in local classified ads, hotel, airport & travel website advertising etc.
If this site does ever become established I will review its means of generating a income. yes advertising sponsors would be good for me but wouldn't harm you.
My intention was to charge for listings after a year, so 2008 but like you say this maybe unfair?
So I shall keep it free untill 2008 and review it again then.
If you think it is unfair to charge, please post.
I will listen and let you all be the decission makers on this one. :?:
