The only romour circulating at the moment is that GNER are to install a new computerised car par system, which will only allow six taxi's to be in the car park waiting, when any more try to gain entry they will not be alowed in and will have to drive to the next rank, how this is going to work beggars belief.at many times there are 25 cars in there.
the two shareholders who were fighting with iron bars are still in there having no action taken against them, that is why everyone is laughing at staion taxi's, the only radio controlled hackney fleet in York and they close the office at midnight and then wonder why private hire do all the business in the wee small hours.

Plus any naughty taxi driver on stn taxis caught hiding somewhere in a street who doesn't like credit work, for not answering his data head will be fined by 7 days removal from the rank

Several years ago I arrived at York Station wanting a taxi.

There was about 30 punters waiting and no taxis in sight. I wentover to the Station Taxis's shed and asked if they could tell me how long a taxi would be. The reply was 'I ain't got clue mate, the queue is nothing to do with us'.

So I walked a couple of hundred yards down to a Private Hire Office and away I went in minutes.

Its much the same now, beligerent office staff and miserable drivers why anyone wants to go in there is baffling, it seems there are too many old people who have been there too long a nd are not willing to change with the times, Stinky Pete may remember a long tima ago they had to pay thousands out to a ladywho they got rid of, well guess what they learned nothing from that and have done it agian, sacked a girl for reasons unknown and so far their solicitors bill is £3000, and they have not been to court yet that is just for advice and letters. When will they learn that us girls are not that easy to get rid of.

The TOC have nothing to do with the day to day operation or management decisions made by the managing operator.
