Gary, you're the one that keeps going on about plate values not me, I do not have a problem with plates being issued, I just don't believe you should keep on issuing them untill you create the situation of oversupply, you might be happy with drivers earning less money and driving longer hours but I'm not , let's face it Gary you want everything for nothing, basically because you're not prepared to work for it, the people that get things out of life usually are The grafters but you're not one of them, don't worry about me, there's no need, although I appreciate your concern, the only person I rely on is myself.

MR T let me remind you - QUALITY CONTROLS - QUALITY CONTROLS - QUALITY CONTROLS....
The London model comes to mind and as for oversupply, we don't have restricted numbers in Edinburgh simply because the Ph doesn’t recognise a restricted market. The Ph expand and contract to meet customer demand but overall, they expand. Immediately soaking up any increase in the market, the hacks in turn are losing their numerical presence. The so called hack ‘owner’ wants the public to use any other mode of transport as long as it doesn't mean an increase in hacks.
This has been well publicised in the press by those very people who claim to be looking after their trade. This is strange don’t you think when it’s obvious the hacks they are losing their market share? It seems the taxi trade is the only business in town that sees the expansion of their competitors business as good for their ‘businesses. Could that be something to do with hiked drivers rentals and plate premiums due to the numerical restriction of plates?
Drivers are being forced to buy just to secure their employment - and you not what this means- that’s right Mr. T - drivers paying in excess of 50K to leap frog an interested parties list. This is of course where the false plate value comes from and nothing to do with buying a business.
Now tell me Mr. T, what is it you don’t understand?
