Man dies after 90ft fall into Waverley

A CITY man has died after falling 90 feet from North Bridge through the roof of Waverley Station at midday yesterday, landing next to the taxi rank.

Emergency services rushed to the scene yesterday afternoon and found the man unconscious but still breathing. No other people were hurt.

The 22-year-old was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but died a few hours later. His fall is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "He came right through the roof and landed next to the taxi rank on platform 11.

"Nobody else was injured and the fall is not being treated as suspicious."

The man's identity was not being released today until his relatives were informed.

It has to be said; the Waverley Bridge seems to be favourite spot for those looking to end it all.

Such as life....

What I find interesting is why they all gravitate to certain places :?
