Yes, the article did seem a bit strange, but no more strange than your implication that you've spoken to everyone in the trade who could have known what was going on :?

You must live a very secluded life

Well I don't spend most of my time speaking to other members of the local trade and learning to speak Polish

And, given the increasingly multi-lingual nature of the trade, how many languages do you speak?

I know of none that are driving a Hackney. and according to the licensing offers there are only two or three Polish private hire drivers, and Two of them drive in Southport.... if you can provide evidence that is different I would appreciate it.. personally I think you are mistakenly thinking of all the Asian drivers in Liverpool, two-to-three months ago one particular city cab was stopped by a number of Sefton drivers,, he kept approaching people on the street in Sefton asking if they wanted a taxi, which the drivers did not appreciate, on closer examination they noticed that the picture on his badge did not correspond with his face, he went away with the police, and the cab was collected by someone else.

The boss of Delta ,has asked the licensing department . He says, they say twelve. by the end of the year, there will be alot more.
If thats a good thing or a bad thing, depends on your point of veiw . For a operator like you, it must be like cristmas, coming early. :D :D :D :D Streetcars

12 out of 2200 p/h not bad ...and all working Liverpool..

12 Thats only the scouting party . http://www.freelabour.co.uk/job/12223/
There coming, any La with a poor street knowledge test, is going to get swamped . If i were a rep for drivers in Sefton, i would be calling for a stiffer street knowledge test and a proper English test .
:?

If i were a multi plate holder. I would be trying to recruit poles and puting up my rents. :D :D :D :D streetcars

I have made a few inquiries today, I actually know the people that own the premises that she rents, and I also know the company that used to work from them, after speaking to quite a lot of the people in the know in the Sefton cab trade, the outcome was that this is the first anybody has ever heard of this lady having any problems, which seems mighty strange, I would suggest that whoever she is having problems with are from her own circle of acquaintances.?

My own opinion in the first instance was that the vandalisam was probably not being caused by elements of the local cab trade. However we should not forget that some Sefton licensing officers have recently had their cars torched.

A similar situation manifested itself in Sunderland where a local taxi firm was targeted on a regular basis by local yobs.

Perhaps the incidents were exagerated but I don't believe the article suggests it was cab drivers.

The difference Between Sefton cab drivers and Liverpool cab drivers is that Sefton stick together, it is properly because there are less drivers in Sefton and they eventually all work at one time or another the main Rank, cab drivers are like old women and like to talk. consequently you have certain people that are the centre of information, I have not said that the lady has told lies, I have just said that from the hackney side nobody knows anything, it would not surprise me if from her past in another business somebody is taking an interest, I know nothing of the Lady or her past, I just know that usually the story is more complicated ..... the other interesting thing is that she is Sefton based and seems to be targeting Liverpool for her work .

Polish and Czechoslovakia drivers have held licences in Liverpool for over 30 years in case you didn't know.

When I first read the story I was thinking "Pink Ladies", "Kerry Katona" and all that.

Now I'm thinking, "Delta Goodrem".
