Wasn't it you who wanted to be running without the meter on but your council wouldn't let you?

Yes it is advisable to get the fare up front but quote the right fare, and run the meter so the punter knows they are not being riped off, I think we all know what the right fares are to the airports or stations or other cities
and if you're a driver and the op checks his blue peter (meter) how do explain the shortfall ??? and then if you're the op ....the good ole taxman...my advise 2 u bud is keep daein the grannys wi the tartan shopping trolleys :D
