No! You might get a nice letter side stepping your point of view/issue, but you try getting them to print a retraction. ](*,)

Forget it. It aint going to happen.

Anyway, most stories are written by hacks who just churn out words to fill column inches.

They don't have time to get inside a story. They want to sell papers. So they'll trot out any old rubbish if they think it will attract readers. They sensationalise because that's what the bewildered herd want.

Of course everyone makes mistakes, but I suspect it was the editor who wanted to ham up the article to the detriment of the 99.99999% of taxi/PH drivers who just happen to be the good guys.

If this incident had happened in a newspaper shop, would the headline have been 'Newspaper man cleared of groping'?

Only if there wasn't a taxi within 2 miles of the shop.

I picked up a young lady the other night, got chatting, and lo and behold she works for one of the national tabloids.

The bottom line is, the reporter puts the story together, and then! The editor hacks/edits away at it to suit, and then the story goes out.

So more often than not, it is not necessarily the reporter.

Either way they are still a bunch of bathplugs.

I thought it was common knowledge who wrote the story headlines, although sometimes we do forget? lol?
