This is interesting, I wonder what modifications they are specifically looking for? Obviously they are targetting 20 cars, which one assumes they have information suggesting they may be in contravention of the rules?

Taxi checks
Hereford Times
MODIFIED taxis and private hire vehicles are being investigated by Herefordshire Council to make sure they are safe to carry passengers.
As many as 20 cars could lose their licences if owners are unable to show the council's taxi licensing unit that modifications have been assessed and passed as safe.
