Why are you gobssmacked? You seem to be the only one who doubted that you would get the money.

If they’ve paid it into your bank account, it doesn’t sound like you really need it, you property magnate, you.

Here we go again

Price cap rises again

so despite the last 3 months being exceptionally mild meaning gas and electric consumption is down mysteriously wholesale prices rose sharply pushing up the energy cap just in time for the winter months when consumption will be highest. Call me a cynic but I would not be surprised if there hasn't been some market manipulation going on ?

but the TL&TS is we will be paying more than last year because there won't be any free hand outs from UK government

currently my DD is £113 (approx 2 months in credit) so should go to £119 but we'll see what Ovo do I reckon it'll be £122 to £124 we shall see

My latest bill from November 6th sugests that for the next year I will spend £886 on electric and £786 on gas. The same bill from last year sugested that at that time the estimates were £1523 for electric and £1636 for gas. That is quite a reduction.

My fuel will defo be more next year.

I got lucky and got a fixed price prior to Putin going f***ing mad.

Then got the money back from the gov, which meant I was paying about £50 a month in total.

my leccy is £54 per month every month inc vat and S/C

my gas summer £10 - £20 per month winter £100-£125 but we have had new windows/doors and increased loft insulation plus getting external wall cladding which should help

we are on a variable direct debit so we control what is paid, we had £400 off the county council and £500 cold weather support... we pay a fixed £30/gas £30/leccy per month

My Scottish Power DD is £250 pm and they plan to cut it to £112 from December.

Think their algorithm might be a bit out there...

Thought you would be moving to Spain, thus not having to worry about heating.

Trust me it can get very cold at night in Spain in the wintertime. My place is on the Costa Blanca and we get frost at night. My wife even saw snow one day a few years ago.
