Since Gawiths have 100 or so plates then they must have at least 100 serf...er...drivers, so you'd think they'd have at least one hundred grateful souls lining up to sign the petition :D

Just look at this as a gauge.... and then you can evaluate just how many people across the country are interested..... and then work out what chance you have..

Your right CC so maybe i am uneducately being a little harsh ,but is that the jist of it -
They get free plates via a judicial review , then when a law commision consultation threatens to allow the same they pull out their soap box and say thats not fair ?

Nah blackpool dont know them from adam.

I have known George for a long time.... when did he get free plates

Well Gawiths didn't get the plates if that's what you mean, but they had a damned good try.

Let's see, and correct me if I'm wrong. :-s

They had/have 100 plates in Liverpool. Knowsley were waiting for the results of a survey, so Gawiths tried to apply for 100 plates in Knowsley using their 100 Liverpool HCs, and ordered another 100 vehicles to replace the Liverpool vehicles on the HC plates there. #-o

And when Knowsley didn't play ball Gawiths pursued legal action and it ended up in the courts.

But Gawiths lost. :-({|=

So instead of 100 restricted plates in Liverpool and Knowsley they ended up with only 100 plates in Liverpool. Shame.

Still a few million pounds worth of plates resting on how the LC's proposals work out though, hence the petition.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be signing it. [-(
