Sussex, its ok, I dream of Utopia too, and have as much chance of it happenning mate!

But my dream of Utopia isn't a dream, it's a plan and the Transport Committee is only a small part of it.

when LAs are "ringfenced" against outsiders the "trade" will be ended, well done!

if they cant come into your area, you cant go into thiers, is LHR in your LA?...

Q. If you had a drop at LHR at 10am, and a pickup at noon would you RTB or party at macydees?...

As has been documented on this site since it's birth ( :D ) I'm not a great fan of the Unite union, however on this issue I applaud all the work they have done to get this issue to where it is.

Why you ask?

Well I have just read the submission sent to the Trans Comm from Delta of Sefton, in which they say they do 8,500,00 million jobs a year, with 1700 drivers, which equates to 13 jobs each a day.

At, say, £4 a job those drivers are living on 'slave' wages, and it's nothing short of a national disgrace this mob are being blown up by some as being what operators should aim for.

They are the gutter end of the market and they need to be bought to task.

I read it too.....the saddest thing is people will believe that cr*p.....there's some really gullible people out there..........if anything most of their figures could give an intelligent person an entire case of why cross border hiring needs stopped.

Yes you are right, but no one is forced to swloow the b*llshit that they are making a fortune there as the firm gives the impression they are.

They point to fees being a factor.....which is absolute b*llshit too.

Why? Both are equally wrong.
