Former Chancellor George Osborne is to be paid £650,000 a year for advising the US fund manager Blackrock.
In an updated entry in the Commons register of interests, he disclosed that he would be paid £162,500 each quarter and would work 48 days a year.
He has already earned close to £800,000 for speeches made to banks and other firms since leaving office in July
The MP for Tatton said he had consulted the business appointments watchdog before taking on the Blackrock job.

nice work if you can get it

Don't forget to add on his Salary he used to earn as Chancellor which he'll get for the rest of his life. Typical Tory

Small change, compared to Blair. Typical Labour.

I am not sure that this is correct. Do you have any evidence?

You should know, the PM, Chancellor and the Home Secretary still get their wages for life when they've left Government. They're all on the gravy train. John Major is still pulling his PM salary as are many others who have left Government.

Sorry I think you are wrong. They get a pension based on their final salary and this is about half what they were earning per year.

Final salary gold plated pensions, do you really think they'll be on half of what they were on? These parasites have expensive lifestyles.

They get their pension and they get paid for any public duties they still perform on behalf of the government. It the case of ex prime ministers they also get protection by the security services which is quite a lot of money but what they don't get is full pay for life which is what you claim. Now please provide evidence to support this or confirm that you made it up.

Google it.

Cameron is on around £40k pension, amd greedy b@st@rd Bliar is on £70k + a sh!t load of freebies/expences. The PM salary is over twice the pension - as Grandad says.......roughly half.

The onus is on you to provide evidence that they are - as you made the original claim.

P.S. I will accept Google, Yahoo, Bing, American Express......... :D
