It's the usual anti-Westminster, anti-Boris hypocritical sanctimony stuff, just notched up a gear.

But there's a particular few seconds near the middle that's got everyone talking, or at least the visuals have got everyone talking. Not difficult to spot:

Scottish Politicians remind of dogs contentedly licking their own Bo**ocks, they do so just to please themselves regardless of how much it might scunner the rest of us.

Well I'm not neutral, but it was as expected.

All Scotland's problems are down to the English Tories.

The Express has certainly gone to town on it, but then the Express tends to go to town when it comes to criticising the SNP  :

SNP torn apart over 'Sturgeon-as-Big-Brother' election ad 'That's just disturbing'

https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics ... torn-apart

A "disturbing" SNP electoral advert featuring "Sturgeon-as-Big Brother" has been ridiculed on social media by the First Minister's political opponents and members of the public.

Ipsos Mory poll on support for independence by age

16-24: 63%
25-34: 67%
35-44: 52%
45-54: 41%
55-64: 35%
65+: 32%

So according to this most people under 45 support independence so maybe if she does get in and holds indeyref 2 all she has to do is only allow the under 45's to vote

Aye...That was a true awakener for any potential SNP voter, It should ring alarm bells in every freedom loving Scot who values the true democracy they already have within the UK, a vote for the SNP is not a vote for freedom but rather a vote for political intolerance through giving up your freedoms and independence to the EU.

Well they've lowered the voting age to 16.

And they're waiting for the oldies like me to die off

I think the SNP are seeking to form their own version of the Hitlerjugend who can joyfully report their parents for having non SNP sympathies or for holding no PC discussing matters over the dinner table....they are almost there with their Child Voters and their new Hate Crime Bill which is nowt to do with hate crime and all to do with reporting those of us who do not conform to SNP dogma or idealogy.

Maybe she could call it the "Junior Jockstapo", where on reaching 18 they can go on to the real SNP Jockstapo.

Anyone south of the border see any issue here?

In fact, many north of the border won't see the problem here, which is why the SNP do what they're doing.

Or maybe it's just me :x

Indeed, but I've kind of stopped noticing that, or at least sometimes I'm noticing other things 8-[

Anyway, as regards the leaflets, they're trying to make it look like people are voting for Sturgeon in some sort of presidential-style system, which obviously they aren't, and also that people are voting for Sturgeon for election as an MSP, when in fact they aren't doing that either.

It's the regional/list system that the vote 'Nicola Sturgeon for First Minister' is aimed at. But on that ballot paper people vote for a party (SNP, Labour, Tories, Alba, and other minnow/oddball parties that know they've no chance in the constituencies, so stand only in the regional/list system), not individuals. The parties put forward a list of candidates, ranked in order. So if they get two candidates via the list, their first and second ranked candidates get elected.

But thing is, it's nothing to do with Sturgeon herself. It's like there are mega-seats in Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Sussex or Tyneside etc, each returning eight MPs to Westminster. The Tories put forward a list of people who no one has ever heard of, and they say 'Vote Boris Johnson for Prime Minister'.

Problem stems from the fact that the regional/list ballot paper is supposed to be a list of parties, but the parties are allowed to put some sort of description on the ballot, so the SNP use 'Nicola Sturgeon for First Minister'. It's sloganeering, basically, and in the SNP's case simply intended to mislead [-X

Post subject:  Re: Return of the Salmond

This below is the SNP's number one candidate in the South Scotland seat, so she's a shoo-in. Widely ridiculed this week because she suggested a Scotland - England border could create jobs. Aye, border guards, smuggling, people trafficking, blah, blah.

See also the second video on this link, where she's wittering something about that a separate Scottish currency wouldn't be an issue because she used her credit card abroad to buy stuff :-s

And she thinks the current Scottish notes mean that we have a separate currency at the moment :-o

So it's no wonder SNP want to detract attention from the likes of Emma Harper and other nobodies, hence the 'Nicola Sturgeon for First Minister' ruse.

In fact the SNP have been doing it for years. Here's how they used 'Alex Salmond for First Minister', which conveniently got them to the top of the ballot paper. Note the sloganeering used by the minnow parties near the top of the ballot paper. The others just use the party name. In my opinion sloganeering like that should never have been allowed - it's simply intended to mislead [-X

The other vote on the right is just like the Westminster system.
