Whats the average cost of accountancy services for a taxi driver? I am an accountant in Scotland and I am looking to see if it would be worth my while looking for clients nationwide. I already have over 100 taxi drivers mainly all in Central Scotland (Glasgow, Falkirk, Edinburgh) I charge a set fee each year normally less than £200 and in this day of modern technology eveything could be done by email etc Any comments more than welcome |

lot of the guys round here use the same accountant Derek, all of us paying £240 a year. |

Well I know the fee I charge is £150 per year and this covers accounts, tax return, telephone calls etc |

Likewise. Income - Expenditure (fuel, rent, repairs, licences etc.) - £300 miscelaneous expenses = Profit. 1/2 hour online submitting tax return, job done. |

Any Taxi driver who uses an accountant is a fool IMO, they'll rape you for £200 for 15 minutes work tops. I do some of the lads on the local rank, they used to buy me 20 ciggies for doing their returns for them. I don't smoke now so I just charge them £7 a pop. |
