What do you want a warrenty for? They rarely pay out. We bought a brand new vehicle in December. The are a couple of places on the bottom of the doors that look as though there is rust coming through. Told today sorry that is not covered by the warrenty. Pi55ed off or what!

The problem is that they are saying that we must have done something to the vehicle for the apparent corrosion to be showing through.
the car was bought from cab direct and they just say that we should have noticed it on delivery. It wasn't there on delivery, it has shown up since.

Having worked in a parts dept linked to customer sales and a workshop i can only say that the word "W******Y" was not allowed, it used to result in being made to stand in the corner all day, on my 1st ever saturday morning shift, opening up myself, working alone my 1st customer was due SIX "airsprings" (£150 each) so i handed them over under warranty (knew he was coming) but didnt think he had to sign anything and just let him take them.....ooops

Warranties????? Don't waste your money, they only cover the most unlikely things to break :x Oh and the "allowances for wear and tear" clause????? That means you're fecked

That's why I'd never use Cab Direct.

We have invested in the skoda fabia's, they come with two years unlimited mileage warranty and yes they cover trade, from my experience they covered everything apart from wear and tear i.e brakes, tyres, servicing, clutch and anti pollution part. First 100k no problems second 100k this is what they have replaced, engine, turbo, window mechanism, lock mechanism, door sensors, fuses, gearbox. So all in all a good job done.

you either buy new and hope the warranty covers trade or buy cheap and keep back money to cover problems, at one time an engine was a grand, now a clutch+DMF can cost that

hope. pray and sprinkling car with holy water might help
