just wondering has any one got one of these and are you experincing problems like i am.
1. leaking back door. 2. creaking front suspension. 3. cheap plastic trim not flush, in place's like a) back side doors. b) front passenger seat under plastic falling off constantly c) interior rear heater switch broke very easyly. 4. tyres wearing too fast eg: first set 11k michs 215/60/16s. i replaced exact same and now 7k they need changing. (something wrong there Iam sure!. front pads at 11k and now its done 18k it needs rear pads. other little probs aswell too many to list. I am no mechanic but does any 1 know if this is right. Ive contacted the consumer rights, and they cant do anything for me. a solictor will take on my case but he wants £170.00 per hour plus vat.

Cant speak on the E7 Issues...but your Solictor seems a thieving Barsteward at £199.75 per Hour Incl Vat..the guy must make £7990.00 a week or around £400,000 a year...youd be cheaper replacing the E7 than hiring the Solictor.

My scotcab (basicaly the same as E7) need new front tyres at 12,500 ,new front pads at 12,000 and noticed front suspension is creaking as well!
Will ask about creaking when its in for its next service!

Seems like the new model is a carbon copy of the old model.

Especially the faults.

I have a 14 month old tw200 (almost the same) with 36,000 miles on the clock so far new tyres and pads every 12,000 miles and rear tyres and pads every 18,000 miles .
As yet I can’t get pattern pads so have too pay fiat about £69 per set but I now use Hankook tyres at about £65 per corner and they last just as long
Fiat have replaced almost all the front suspension under warranty over the first 12 months plus both rear door windows which leaked

Really? I know someone with such a car who pays around £20 for a front set of pads.

Same here, a guy round our way has the same vehicle and his pads come from the local motor factors, I think he gets them for £25 a set.

2007model and onwards ,cheapest pads i have found were 46.99!
Did get ones for £20 but they were for old style fiat!

The ones for around £20 (ish) were for a Jan 2007 model.

Surely they must be the same as the 2007 E7s.

Front pads every service back pads every 16-18k.
Cheap front pads are usally very noisy and can also give you a poor brake.
Lower wishbone arms/ball joints are common faults.

I have a new E7 62 plate front tyres 30.000miles front pads 29.000miles. But not all is well inter com not that good and engine management light and gone on to limp mode twice. Main dealer clueless to why

they are quite popular in this area for the wheelchair taxis, but i do think the only proper reliable wheel chair taxi is the Mercedes vito. Merc,VW,Audi are the only half decent car manufactures at the current time in my opinion

The trouble with the extra reliability is that it comes at a price, and that extra price often outweighs the cost of marginally less reliability.

How much more reliable the VW or Mercs are Is debateble, certainly they are more expensive to maintain and repair than the Peugeot/Citroen models are.

And as we live in austere times there is more profit to be earned from a slightly less reliable E7 over it's working life than a more reliable VW or Merc unless your offering a prestige chauffeur style of customer service at a higher price.
