Presumably you mean the taxi test?

I think it depends on the local authority and to a lesser extent the individual tester.

I find I have no probs with the taxi test, the Council Lawnmower testers get quite [edited by admin] off after a while testing numerous taxis, find if you are agressive towards them, they will find a fault no matter how small, I seem to get the same happy go lucky fitter tester, who we have a laugh and a joke with, same with the Council girl officials who are present at the test, they to are peeded off with the job
