Sticker on the back of a cab I was following today was,

NO MONEY LEFT IN THE CAB OVERNIGHT
WIFE HAS TAKEN IT ALREADY

And the one I would like to see is,

A TAXI IS FOR LIFE, NOT JUST FOR XMAS

Alex

Or until the CRB check comes through.

Wait a minute though, that's a minicab I'm talking about!

There is no premium on the plates in my area, we have been derestricted since 1965, as Dusty well knows.

What Andy7, you mean the world in your manor didn't end in 1965?

So you and your colleagues have been able to eat and drink in the meantime?

But what about all those bankruptcies we hear about, again and again?

Or could all this scare-mongering just be a big fat CON, conducted by big fat CON ARTISTS, and printed in big fat CON ARTIST RAGS?

More evidence that the truth hurts.

But wouldn't it be boring without posters that wind you up?

Or maybe not.

No Andy. There have been no bankruptcies in the cab trade in our manor in the last 40 years to my knowledge. The only company that did cease trading as far as I know, was the one closed down by the council and the police about ten years ago, for unlicensed cars and drivers.

WE dont make a fortune, but we all make a living. And we have a reasonably good council policy that weeds out the dregs once in a while and keeps everything tickety boo.

But you already knew that didnt you. You just wanted me to repeat it to stengthen the points you keep making.
