But you kind of get the impression that there may be more to this than meets the eye. It's an 18-mile run, so a decent fare, but it's hardly a gold bullion heist
And while there's the odd reported court case involving runners, how often do we see a CCTV police appeal about a basic runner, which took place over two months ago? Can't really recall one...
Appeal to trace man after non-payment of taxi farehttps://www.northyorkshire.police.uk/ne ... taxi-fare/We’ve issued this CCTV of a man we would like to speak to after someone made off without payment from a taxi in Scarborough.A taxi was ordered by a male from Pickering to Scarborough. On arrival in Scarborough the man failed to pay the fare.
It happened at between 4.30am to 5am on the 29 February and a number of enquiries have already been carried out but the identity of the offender remains outstanding.
