well Belguim were worse than England  but sadly Ukraine couldn't get the goal that would have put them out

They were rubbish.

I hope teams will now try to play more attacking football in the knockouts, rather than the we must qualify for the next stage no matter what.

Well in the post match interview with Kane it didn't sound promising. He said if we have to go through extra time and penalties then that is what we will do.
That sounded to me as though we were going to defend and not concede and rely on the same system. it doesn't matter who you play if you don't change the system then you can't expect anything different.

Southgate is a rubbish manager.

But one lucky so and so.

We won’t play Spain, Germany, Portugal, Belgium or France until, he says laughing, we reach the Final.

The England side we had at the world cup was a good side this side is missing it's attacking flair sorry but I've seen lots of good sides out there who can score goals we can't so would be very surprised if we even get past the last 16 let alone the semis.

Want to bet on it? I think you will be very surprised. Diarise the 14th July.

Good job you’re not out in Germany, you ray of sunshine you.

A little bit of optimism could go a long way.

Come on England!

My heart says England, my head says Spain. I might have a little bet on them winning this and the next World Cup.

the first good side they played and Italy crash out but it means IF we get past Slovakia tonight we face the swiss who I think are capable of winning the tournament.

Denmark at least tried but Hoylands misses coupled to Denamrks bad luck gave Germany a QF berth aand I must say they look a much better side than recent german teams

c'mon England although I won't get to see the match as I booked something for today months ago which doesn't finish till 5.30  but of course England playing tonight was an unknown when I booked it.I should get back in time for extra time and penalties though.

Half an hour in and I wouldn't rush back.

it finished an hour early "for the football" so only missed first 10 minutes

well I think that game will be known as the miracle of Gelsenkirchen. England needed a miracle and somehow got one. Although taking Foden off probably helped. He would be far more use staying out wide and trying to put good balls in for Kane and Bellingham.
