This consultation is also going out to the general public... which would mean brothers, sisters mother's, father's ,anties and uncles and friends.... take one well-thought-out reply. take one photo copier. aske people to read and sign if they agree.. collect replies together and post.. take a small collection from the local taxi trade.. postage... remember to ask them to confirm they have received your reply.... phase one....

ps... I like to make people think for themselves.....

Indeed, and perhaps a hundred or more pages to provide a substantive response, which will probably be largely ignored anyway.

Which is why I won't be bothering. Been there, done that with the OFT.

I think some sort of reply to at least one issue should be sent as Mr T says if we flood them out with responses maybe they will scrap the report or start again or even produce something actually of merit

Indeed, particularly if they get thousands of boilerplated responses as suggested by Mr T.

In fact I suspect that would harm any case being made rather than make the LC change course.

Will it have an effect, who knows, but doing nothing defo will have no effect.

How would it harm.... I have played their little games for many many years... different departments in the government.... if an associations respond that is classed as one response..... even if that association has a 1000 members, the LC are collecting evidence, we have to provide that evidence. if they ignore that evidence, the MPs who will be eventually voting Yes or No will be asking why .... but by that time the trade will have spoken to every single MP.... but First we have to provide the evidence.... if our replies are basically the same,so what, their are not many important things we disagree on....
