Please don't take what I wrote previously in the wrong way; perhaps I should have added to my original post what I have now amended it with after 'dialogue.

Brummie... I don't take offence.. I'm an a old time taxi driver... what is happening with the Law Commission will have no consequences to me, so why should I worry, but it will have consequences to this generation of taxi and private hire drivers and the next, and they are the ones that should be weakening up.
Consultation is simply a legal requirement to justify the end result. you know and I know that the vast majority of the Hackney Trade will not even know this is taking place. and why. because the leaders of the association's will only tell their members... and most non members will be blissfully ignorant.
The NTTG was formed to do just that the money was collected to fight the last battle and the remainder was left to fight the next, they now have a committee that are definitely on another planet, when I speak to them they tell me things I already know, as if it had just happened, when I was part of the NTTG we use the the money to go out to other areas. all round the North West. Bradford ,Leeds, we made sure that they knew what was happening. I went from town to City onto the taxi ranks, provided them with copies of what was happening, then spoke to the leaders, and then set up times and dates for them to meet with the committee. that is what should be happening now.
