Read the post properly Quote:
consecutive governments
.
The clue is in the word.............CONSECUTIVE
I note that you never replied.

so cabby john, you blame consecutive goverments but i dont see your suggestions to break the chain, so come on, tell us how to stop the riffraff from thieving and dealing+taking drugs when basically the enjoy it, and they wont go to work for what i go to work for whan they can get £500 a week for a family of 5 to live off from the DSS
I will give it a whirl.
First and foremost, even if you are right £500 per week for a family of five to live off is not a lot @ £100 per week each, having said that not bad for nothing, but not something that I could live off of.
Right down to business.
I do not accept that they are all "Riff Raff, druggies or Thieves".
These are black ghettos that spawn criminality and it is no coincidence that they are all grouped together and because of that it will seem that most are the same, but they are not. They have been grouped together deliberately, as it is easier to keep a general eye on them as they have already been categorised in the eyes of the government/whatever government, and tbh they do stand an even chance of making something out of themselves.
Look at what they have OR do not have.
No jobs, and in many cases have never had one and never will.
No prospects and nothing to look forward to, and never will.
Poor housing, most in tenement blocks/flats that are notorious breeding grounds for drugs, thieving and general criminality.
The bottom line is that they are existing and are trying to think their way out of where they are, by any way, but which way.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you were Black, do you take second best, accept your lot of which is pretty poor, or do you try by whatever means to better your life and that of your family?!
I do not care what anyone thinks, but if you are black then you have less chance than the average person, and it has always been that way. The proof in the pudding is " Are there White ghettos"????!!!
The problem is "Capitalistic greed".
For the best part of 37 years we have had wage restraints in this country, with the last generous prime minister being "Harold Wilson". Wage negotiations being restricted to £1+4% of your salary. The following year it was down to £1 increase OR the 4% (I cannot remember which one), since then it has been down down down, with either no increases in most cases, or decreases in many.
Taking into account the above, companies have gone on from strength to strength, making their Billions and then sacking people to then take the jobs abroad to make even bigger billions to feed the big bosses at the top.
The bottom line being is that the work force are not sharing in the wealth and never have done since the power days of the unions, when they were real unions and not the toothless organisations that are today. These days they are in the pocket of the governments, receiving grants totaling hundreds of thousands of pounds to keep the peace, the very people who we relied on years ago to guide us are getting the big salaries to shaft us.
We have lost millions of jobs to foreign countries and the unions say nothing, millions of people have come into the country for a better life!!!!!!!!! only to find that there is no better life. The failing lays in the hands of the government, who allow greedy companies to make not just profits but vulgar profits, that are way up and above what they need and then watch them move the jobs to other countries ie third world.
To give you an example.
Back about a year or so ago (prior to the American oil disaster). BP announced a profit of around 38 Billion

, unfortunately the stock market were expecting 41 billion

The down shot was BP shed over 3000 jobs to appease the stock market.
In my book that is vulgar beyond belief. To my way of thinking BP could have well afforded to have paid those 3000 people shall we say 50K per annum. With add ons i.e national insurance, pensions etc the wage bill would have come to around 200 million, which would have meant that the profit figure for the Stock market would have been around 37,800,000,000...............how awful
The big plus is that the work force would have been able to afford houses, cars, spend in shops, pubs, restaurants, taxis, takeaways and so on,
in turn creating more employment. As it is the likes of BP will smash up a few diamond drill bits, spill a bit of oil..............and then write it off, and of course pay their execs millions of pounds in salaries, pension pots, bonuses, perks and so on, sacking people as they go along and the government say nothing.
The point that I am trying to make is that the average Brit is working his/her nuts off..............but not sharing in the spoils. we are all being stitched up in one way or another by successive governments. We on this forum cannot see any way out of the troubles in the TAXI industry, with many saying that it is finished, so where is there for us to go and we are working.
What if you were black and living in the places that they live in with the general lack of opportunity, what is there, ANARCHY! I have to say what has happened is awful but will happen time and time again.
The underclass has been created, yes created............so what do the government do now to control them, because to a degree for those people it is about survival, see the killing figures for black on black, there is no longer any fear, because there is nothing to look forward to.
The proof.
Look at the most affluent area in your area, and you will not find them burglarising each others homes, or stealing from each other in general or rioting. Why? because they have plenty. The people who rioted do not have plenty, and it is no good anyone saying get a job because they are not out there. It was never about the guy that got shot, it was about an opportunity to do some shopping without paying, and to pay society back, in their eyes anyone who has a business is rich and unfortunately they got in the way.
So make no mistake this problem is caused by capitalistic greed, not by you or I, but by the wealth makers and it could get very rough as we see an even bigger divide between rich and poor happening before our very eyes. The recession is like no other before it! all the others had excessively high interest rates and there was room to maneuver and to adjust the economy/create jobs , on this one there is no room whatsoever and the problems are going to get a lot worse. The reason being is that they (the government and the big bosses) have screwed everybody so much and so hard, they have ended up screwing themselves, and that makes me smile.
It is going to be very interesting.
