I don't know why they don't just run the Christmas and new year fares right through from 6PM on the 24th to 6AM on the 27th then from 6PM on the 31st to 6 AM on the 3rd and at the £4.00 rate to generate more custom

Just a point for everyone reading this.

When I went for our last fare increase in Brum, I made the same mistake as above; calculating the distance per drop/click to two decimal points of a yard. I only wanted to be as accurate as above.

Then I rang Cygnus the main taximeter manufacturers & spoke to Ann in the tariff calculations & verification department. She told me that their taximeters are only capable of being set to one decimal point of a yard or metre.

So displaying the yardage to two decimal point on the Table of Fares is pointless.

Nothing whatsoever wrong with Tariff Two!!

33% on the flag drop & less that 20% on the running mile in comparison to the day rate is peanuts compared to what others are charging in LAs throughout the country.
