There will be some sceptics out there, but the Vito has been in service all over Europe, in van and minibus and taxi form, with little or no problems for a number of years, the only difference with the London one is the 4 wheel steer

I was'nt aware that the ones that KPM will be selling will have this orange stripe down the side.

The one pictured at the Battersea launch did'nt.

The one MrT posted may be a country cab.

According to the 'London dissenters online', the attractive orange graphic is an optional choice. I can't see there being much uptake.

The first major fault has appeared on the new Merc. Two drivers I know have cancelled their order when it was pointed out that the rear electric step catches almost every sleeping policeman as the box that holds the eclectic motor is too low. This has got to be rectified immediately. Trust the PCO to pass a vehicle that is not fit for purpose.
This step is not present on the PHV version of this vehicle.

And it peels off in minutes.

We have zillions of those concrete monstrosities and I've not know one of them damage the motor of a converted cab's step.

The fault must lie with the roads department, speed bumps must not exceed a certain height, if they are catching the step the bump must be the wrong height, or design
If you get a Vito and it gets damaged by a bump send the claim in to the council and also claim loss of earnings while the vehicle is getting repaired

I think that Merc could turn within 23 feet. Maybe the PCO should reduce the turning circle? lol

Another thing that I like but wonder how much maintenance it will need, and that's the automatic doors. :?

But I still suspect idiots punters will try and slam them. :?
