Nice to see the Taxi seat going to an LTDA man.

They really do now speak for the whole trade.

I used to be on comcab and a few years ago had a radio job taking Mr Oddy from Woodfield Rd to a goverment transport official.

On route we got chatting and i found Mr Oddy renounced to the fact that one day private hire will get their signage back & be allowed in bus lanes (one as we know has now since happened).

I remember at the time voicing my concern to him at this for him to answer...i quote"while like it or not, they too are an integral part of London's travel infastracture so i believe they will get access in the end".

Shortly after hearing this i left the LTDA which meant having to come off comcab.

Now this gentleman will be representing our trade :? i hope he shows more bottle in the cosy TFL meetings alongside Mr Wright who will be pushing at any given opportunity the reasons why his trade should be allowed equal access to bus lanes

That's precisely why I left the LTDA.
BOB ODDIE has always kept out of any action taken in London, not just recently but since he took over. He always advised Com cab to stay away from drive-ins no mater what the point was.
When Westminster wanted to License Mini cab offices in the west end to operated in shop door ways. He personally told all their drivers to stay away from the demonstration at Westminster council house.

He was for the Licensing of private hire right from the start, had a hand in setting up a mini cab operation along with CEO of Com-cab, Geoff Kiely and always had a close relationship with John Griffen. To the tune he (LTDA) used to use Addison Lees services in the form of their delivery service.
Even though com cab had their own service.
He was instrumental in giving away our six mile limit and was a strong supporter of Ken Livingston.
And now this is his reward for standing back and letting TFL walk all over the cab Trade.

On a more cheerfull note Steve Wright is the better of the two to be on TFL because he has all ways voiced his complete disante for touts and he truley warns all his drivers to obey the conditions of their license.

From an outsiders point of view I think the LTDA are not militant enough.

They have far more members than anyone else, and I'm not sure they use that strength as well as they should.

But I could be wrong, and would welcome my good friend Mr GBC putting me right.

Its easy though innit? If you don't want to join no one's forcing you.

Luckily 8200+ other drivers see the benefits of joining, others can go and sit with Anderson shelter / TaxiCabman/ London Jim and what ever other name old senile posts under.

I'm sure he'll make you most welcome.

Still I have decided to refrain from answering any of your posts or remarks on this forum as I do not whish to be associated with a driver the likes of you and I do believe the other drivers should not be subjected to this type of rubbish.

That's the third time you've said that this week, I'll give you two days this time around. :D

That's of course under this particular username, you still have your other two alter ego's to post under.

Why not create a third or a fourth and give others the impression your popular, and not some weird old guy who drives around with a camera strapped to your hat.

That's funny, I thought I saw thousands (unlike the LCDC's 30 - 40) of Com Cabs at the Trafalgar Square demo, and Bank? Perhaps i should go to specsavers?

Yep, and so was I and most other sensible Taxi drivers.

Perhaps you got some form of pleasure knowing girls were being raped by using the then unlicensed minicab trade at the rate of a dozen every two weeks?

Perhaps you thought 20'000 Minicab drivers not being licensed because of their past / immigration status was a bad thing?

Perhaps your so old your out of touch with the Taxi trade of 2008?

Don't forget the crooked extra's as well! :D

I do apologise
But this cabby has attacked my webb log with obscenities, been banned from other forums for abuse and this time he went to far.
All because I do not agree with his views on the LTDA which he belongs to.
Again I apologise it has been unnecessary for the rest of the drivers.

Nope, it's because you're a weirdo who films people with a camera attached to your head.

As I said before, you need help.

Negotiating brings more reward and respect than being a Marxist revolutionary.

I need point you no further than the 'you know what union' which is lead by 'you know who' and the antics he gets up to under the name of that union.

You'll never see an LTDA officer being unprofessional like he does, he's followed closely by the young pretender from the LCDC who, by his actions have alienated his 900 men from the Heathrow negotiations and anything to do with the decision making process with TFL.

Because one crackpot comes on here under three diffrent names, please don't think he represents 25'000 of us, its because of him and his ilk that no one will have anything to do with the LCDC.

In short, they are a dwindling trade body who will probably be extinct within the next 10 years like the dinosaurs that make up their commitee.
