The meter change was always planned for December 1st. The objections had to be in by November 12th. I received a letter from the LO on the 14th saying that because there was only one objection from within the trade and none from the public, the increase would go ahead.

I believe they must consider any objection.

Yes they did consider my objection and decided that there was no reason to delay.

I did think that was the position a council could take.

There is a price rise in the offing in my borough. It was advertised in the press and there was only one objection. This means that either no one read it in no one gives a toss. BTW the objector was me.

The public are not proactive but reactive. When you hit them in the pocket you'll see them jump, into a ph, on a bus, or on their bikes. They might not even care what the tariff rise is as it will not effect them - having already made alternative arrangements.

Nice to see you've got nuts grandad.

BTW, I worked last night and it was shi*. I worked 15 hours, to get what I'd normally earn in 12.

I've never seen anything quite like it. I do believe, however, this is a sign of things to come. The public sense something big. They're battening down the hatches. Some would call it a media inspired plot. I would call it reality. Get ready to reap the whirlwind . . . it could be far worse than I ever imagined ....

Well your LO best go back and check out the laws of this land.

If objection(s) are made, then the licensing committee or cabinet member needs to consider that objection(s).

Just because there was only one matters not a jot.
