I suppose the kids having strange coloured hair is not a plausable reason for leaving them stranded?

1 thought leaving under-16's alone was a matter for social services?

He has obviously taken his NVQ... risk assessment..... two young children with no adult. they could unstrap themselves from the safety belts.... and they could distract him by being unruly... they could place him in a position where he might have to physically restrain one or two of them and then place himself in a position of being accused of everything under the sun... .

Far be it for me to suggest that this man was a little neglectful with his arrangements regarding young children but one would think they would have a key to their own home and perhaps a little bus fare just in case. The driver however should have radiod through to have a replacement vehicle sent around that didn't object to carrying 2 unsupervised young girls.

Regardless of the actions of the driver, this gentleman is breaking the law by leaving his children alone in a house.

I'm pretty certain the 1847 act stipulates only one ginger passenger during any single hire.

Most school contracts have no adult present except the driver and that includes coaches as well as taxis.

With all the bad press the social services have had recently it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this gentleman received a visit.

No less than he deserves. Leaving the kids on their own is bad enough but going to the paper to complain was just plain stupid. Image
