I don't know about a fart in a space suit but years ago when I was a scout we went caving. I just happened to break wind and well where is there for the smell to go in a cave?

I am fairly sure that it is lighter than air so it would rise to the roof of a cave and stay there for ever. however methane gas, the primary constituant of a fart has a half life of 7 years so the potency of the smell would diminish over a few years. :mrgreen:
