The only flipside isn't really a flipside, and that's when folks flag a hackney with the familiar: "I phoned for one (a PH) but I've been stood here twenty minutes . Are you free? I'll call and cancel it...HOW MUCH?" It isn't really a flipside those folks could've just flagged a hackney anyway, and hackneys, to my knowledge aren't hacking PH company radios.

Why hack their radios when you work for their companies and get the best of both worlds and pay less for the priviledge :D

Seeing as there's no sight of things changing here I am of the opinion that if you can't beat them join them. I would do that if we had saloon HC's here but our council just isn't thinking that way eusasmiles.zip

Switched my radio off last night.....the operator is truly insane....but unfortunately if your ph you dont have that option.

Mind you, suggesting your LA consider saloon hacks wouldnt be too popular down there I guess

You know I don't really care about popularity nobody cares how popular it is that HC work our systems. I'm not in this game to be popular with other drivers. I do truely believe that customers should be able to flag a saloon vehicle down as I have said before and will continue to say not everybody can get in purpose built hacks and not everybody wants a purpose built hack for whatever reason. :D

Thats as conveniant excuse as mine anyway, I really changed from a TX to a saloon for the ambient disabled and pensioners......the fact the vehicle has half the running costs and costs a third of the price never once entered my mind

Comfort that's why I don't want a TX and they're ugly and noisy. Price really didn't come into because you get to keep them longer so it all pans out in the end. I don't consider over £20,000.00 for a saloon vehicle cheap anyway

I only paid £15,500 for mine brand new. I do know drivers that paid about £22,000.00 for the SW version. I think they had my blonde moment on that day

I'm doubting that's ever happened.

I think you are right, and maybe the only people 'hacking', as you say, are folks with nasty intent.
