Chester Hackney Association have had some success in recovering monies owed.
They went and sat in the HQ in Bolton (I think) and said they were not leaving until they received full or part payment. My info is that a cheque for 4,000 was given, and since a further 7,000 has been paid.
If you go I would take a credit card machine with you.

Direct action often works.

the trouble in crewe is no one sticks together ,drivers will stab you in the back as soon as ,i believe certain drivers are doing back door jobs for f/e and getting paid by means of credit card ,its a complete joke when taxi drivers they work along side are owed thousands by f/e ,its a case of im all right jack sod the rest of you ,good on the chester lads for grabbing f/e by the throat and getting there money

ffs...I have to but a copy to find out...and are you goig to say in connection with what?

I will give you a clue or two.

The first reference is besides a number 27.

The second reference is besides a number 80,000.

There of course maybe more, but I'm quite sure a certain JD will be more than happy with that. :D

lol If Mr button has mentioned TDO in a good light then he has good taste. We strive to be accurate in everything we do and any endorsement of the type offered by Mr button is most welcome. Having said that I am totally unaware of the references he made?

I hope Sussex can enlighten us?

Perhaps he advised us where we can locate our missing case law? lol

Only jesting.

Regards

JD

Delighted to.

In one section re the change of % of restricted council he says that it was once 45% pre OFT, but now it's 27%, and he references a certain website for that %. :D

And a few pages on he mentions plate values, and then references those numbers to a certain website. :D

There might be more, but the book is bloody huge, and even chief anoraks need to sleep.

With what Tom Thumb said about Fraser Eagle and the revelation about the Chester sit in at the Burnley offices I think there is scope for a very brief update in someones monthly magazine column. Providing the stories can be verified?

I think you might be onto something there....in your absense I seem to have reverted to type and have lost my new found impartialness!

There is such a thing as opinion and we all have those so no doubt there will be times when you voice yours.

I suspect there are many secret JD's list lurkers out there. And I'm sure they look forward to each update. :D

Not sure why you want to impose your personal views on dereg on everbody else. If you have campaigned, and won, favourable conditions to you in the South, good luck to you, But why would you feel the need to feck up a council 300 or so miles away from you, who have different conditions to yours but have a good public taxi service???

Goodness me I didn't know I had such power.

Are you really implying that your 'house of cards' is so feeble that an internet anorak from the deepest south can topple it down all on his own? :-k

No I don't think that is the case but you do appear to have some kind of crusade going on to try to do just that and I can't get my head around why :? :?

I have a view point, and that hasn't changed, nor will. But crusade, don't think so.

But so what if I did? :?

I have a viewpoint on polygamy in Utah but I don't research where the latest marriage has taken place and post it on a web-site. IMO if it works for them so be it but if it was compulsory in my council area I would get busy on it. Does that not make sense
