Yes I do the council wants to stop these plate barons in there tracks, and because the plate barons are trading plates for 50K a time they will loose this nice little nest egg, not withstanding the plates belong to the council in the first place and should not be traded.
The council wants to de-restrict so that everyone is given the fair crack of the whip they deserve

WTF is a plate baron?? Is it a guy selling a business opportunity, like a window cleaner might sell his round or an ice cream man or etc etc. Fecking plate baron :?: :?: Get a grip

In Sefton you have to be licensed for a window-cleaning round... and they sell them on....

So do taxis.... but not private hire.... that money goes to the company..

There are only one or two Taxi barons as you call them, the vast majority are just singular people..

WTF is a taxi baron?? Could it be an honest 65 year old cabbie who bought in 15 years ago for current market value. Did his time, came up for a free plate so sold his bought one for current market value and carried on serving the public :roll: :roll:
