What disturbs me is that this was inevitable. The trade could have done more to prepare for it.
Quality invested in drivers, not owner's vested interests.
As for PH signs, people deperate to get home wouldn't even notice signs, they would still get into the vehicle.
More taxis will do more to reduce this happening. That gets the council off the hook, they've done what they can.
PH will shrink anyway, but not disappear. Where a real rapport has been built up with their clients, they will prosper. That's as it should be.
What brings success is how our customers perceive us.
We don't want to get rid of PH, they offer real choice that WAVs can't. But they should have their place, and it is not operating merely as pseudo taxis.
There's room for all.
