It would appear so. I suppose scrutiny will now fall on those other firms that operate such contracts, legally or otherwise?

If it folds it'll be the third in 6 months;

FE, Elite & All Destinations.

well no change there then I remember the days before fraser eagle when the train companies themselves booked taxis and then ignored or couldn't pay the invoices !!

Never had that problem with the rail companies....never heard of a problem till you mentioned it....guess we've been lucky?

Hi W****

I have it on good authority that Fraser Eagle are or have gone into liquidation.

They may be coming back under the name of: Connect Point Ltd.

Would you pass on my concerns to any of our friends in the NTA who may be affected and although it may be too late to recover any monies due it may however stop any further damage.

We had a call this evening from Connect Point, they called on a 01254 number which is a Blackburn number and includes the Accrington exchange. It hasn't taken long has it!

Simple answer (and i speak from bitter experience), only grant a customer as much credit as you can afford to lose, its like betting

impose a credit limit and when it is reached, request a cheque before supplying further, a grand is plenty in these days

dont grant credit for the first 90 days trading, request a pro-forma cheque (better yet, payment by credit card)

when granting credit tell em your terms are 30 days from invoiced, and invoice per job, not at the end of each month

whan a payment is overdue, ring after 7 days to remind, after another 7 days write and remind them that a late payment fee (per invoice) of £40 will be added and the total "will be passed for payment" within 7 days

your gaff, your rules.

Thats Fraser Eagles address, we got our money out of Fraser Eagle and we wont be doing anything for Connect Point unless they pay at least £5000 up front, and that is most unlikely.
I honestly cant see many train companies using them either, i know London Midland have gone elsewhere.
Little bit more info, when they called last night, they said "we are calling from Connect Point, we are carrying out work for Fraser Eagle, but we are nothing to do with them"

Connect point is just a new name for an old fraser eagle dormant ltd company name, the FE in adminstration will have been a slightly different name, which is why i said to check any order confirmations, if they are from FRASER EAGLE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS LTD (but doubtful) by mistake, then your money is safe....

basically, the people who do this sort of thing (not just FE) cant lie straight in bed, and hop from one ltd company to another waiting on standby
