Why are you so issue more plates about things mate, do you own one or is it a case of you want one, or you just don't like anyone having anything that you don't?

I'm curious as I registered last year but haven't posted until now because I don't really want any more forum life for myself, but you do read like one of those ppl who has to scratch a nice car because you ain't got one yourself.

Put me straight on it I could be wrong.

You analogy is a tad flawed as not many councils give away nice cars for free.

The fact that we still have people like you who think a system that stops equally qualified drivers having the same opportunities as the rest is a very sad thing in the year 2009.

Really, well in that case I'll be moving into your house later, just because I feel it's unfair you have one and I don't, it's your analogy that is flawed, if you made any sense it would mean I can be a brain surgeon just because I want to, stop bitching others who've put up, and either get your wallet out or find another job, ohh green one.

I never said council cars, I mean someone saves up and buys a brand new car, and it's sitting there all shinny and someone like you cannot resist putting a key down it.

I know what you said, and I heard it all before.

In one ear, out the other.

Then my friend I suggest you become an MP, because as you've just said, in one out the other, sums you up really doesn't it.

We are not talking about a shiney new car here and you know it.
We are talking about a licence to trade, issued by a public body.
A licence which was issued for a nominal sum in the past.
It has no value except in the fact that the only way to get one is to line some hungry barsteward's pocket.
Restricted plates protect only the plate holder, and ensures him of a free income at the expense of others.

Your argument is pitifully poor and stinks of "I'm all right Jack"

Doom, with the greatest respect, as many people on here will tell you, there is no greater advocate for regulated numbers than myself.

However, even as an advocate for regulation, I find your arguments off the wall to say the least.

Are you one of those in Southampton who will suffer from the release of an additional 19 plates?

I actually agree that numbers should be regulated. Managed regulation would be the best solution if it could be worked out, but, something needs to be done about selling the plates. As I understand it they're not theirs to sell :?
