is simply that they wont admit the truth,c'mon guys you like it the way it is because it suits you! its rewarding!,both financially and socially.
its ok to admit it we all wont that, perfectly normal.

i dont know how many apps they have in front of them dug no one does not even p lang
funny enough if you look at his monthly reports included in mcdonalds application docs along with the techy notes from halcrow.

http://cpol.edinburgh.gov.uk/getdoc_ext ... cId=123469

you will notice that there appears to be no applications for taxi operators licence's in the months oct to dec 08 ,wich is rather strange considering the title of the minute and the fact that mr mcd applied in oct 08.

so you'll forgive my not taking! what the council says when it comes to facts and figures with just a little Cynicism.

oh and another thing dug
the fact that its £1205 doesnt help matters pretty much ten times what other councils charge, and then theres the spanish inqisition whn you apply, the threat of non refundable monies, the threat of losing your job the threat of violence to both ones property and ones self and family.

need i go on dug

absolutely nowt to be ashamed about its the system you advocate.
make up youre mind.

the difference between you and me dug is im not above making a profit, and im being honest and i think everyone who wants a plate and can meet personall and vehicle stanrds should get a plate, dead simple.

im not trying to be socially correct, whilst all the while denying everyone else a fair crack at the whip(pardon the pun)

btw if i wanted to be a greedy cant
id keep my mouth shut wouldnt i,or make up some other excuse why it should derestrict

yup
thought you'd sign off after that dug.

come back later when youve had a chance to think.

but you know youre position cannot be defended dug.

not in all honesty.

becouse its what one man can have another cannot despite both being qualified to do the job.
and dont strart wi the pubs and the shop [edited by admin] ffs.

its a licence to operate a taxi.(nothing more)
its not tranferable.(allegedly)
its its not worth any money(allegedly).
funny thing is if its not transferable and no new plates are to be issued then why are so many new plates issued each month in edinburgh. :?:
when thier are live applications before the council mmmmmmm.
doesnt seem right to me,i doubt its even legal,in fact im sure it aint.

dug you seem ok
you see what i dont get is how can you look other drivers in the face when you deny them what you have namely freedom to choose youre own working hours and not be under someone elses control.
in short dug you are supporting the denial of fellow drivers rights.

that just dont sit right with me dug sorry!!!!

no no no dug

more drivers less work

which means less drivers to go around who dont wont to run thier own cab,and thierfore less money for the current owners, and thats the real problem dug.

dug would like his dough back but thinks hes betraying some ideal if he says it out loud.(he may not even know it yet)

no one likes the feeling of being conned.
and like it even less when you have to admit it.

the whole things a sham from top to bottom.

sheriff liddle said that didnt he
well in a round about very clever way imo
