If it can be failed it is the Btec/VRQ. That is the classroom based course that has multi choice questions at the end which you have to get a % of right to pass. JD I've already said this in a previous post when you asked me what the pass rate % was.

If Charles wants to become an asssessor he must first do his NVQ then he can do his A1. Unless of course he is attaching himself to some dodgy training company and I'm not sure how they work. Anyway if that's what Charles wants to do then I wish him good luck :D

Btec and VRQ, is not the full NQV, and is not funderbale, No new driver who as not been given a licence to drive a Hackney or P/hire as they can not compleat a full NVQ.

Why is it some folk always take a sledgehammer to crack a nut... :x

I guess you haven't got the balls to do it then or is it the brains

Well said that man. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

There's no such thing as a pass Charles it's a course that no one fails.

People have failed it in Leeds, although we do the B-tec and NVQ with an online computer exam at the end of the course.

It's all free so the recession doesn't come in to it, you can do it in your own time except for the computer exam at the end.

I feel sure that in the future local authorities will ask that all drivers have passed these qualifications to enable you to tender for their work, especially those authorities who are requesting that you need to do the course.

I didn't call Rossendale college a dodgy training company, but, one has to question the sanity of a college that will let an illiterate become an assessor without first helping them to overcome their difficulties, again, that is not to say that they aren't helping.

Why would you dedicate your valuable time to something you don't believe in Charles, why bother becoming an assessor at all

What people learn is obviously different for each person. Everybody's knowledge is different. If however you are amongst the few that know it all just sit back and chill as this is not going to do you any good so why bother. Oh yeah I know now it might just help you keep you badge and help you to continue earning a living.

What benefits do drivers gain from the NVQ?

What benefits do punters gain from drivers doing the NVQ?

Just an answer would be a good start.

I have answered them you must have missed it

Unmotivated, unenthusiastic and badly trained drivers present a poor image for the taxi trade and can even drive passengers away straight into the arms of the PH section, who, mark my words will take full advangtage of free training.

Quote:
That's been the case for the last 33 years without NVQs.

The fact that this has been going on for years is a poor excuse not to change.

The customers of course will just benefit from good customer service. If that wasn't the case all these retailers that charge more for the same thing wouldn't be able to. Customers like to think that the person providing the goods or services think they are king, and, they don't mind paying for it. Some drivers already do this some don't

Indeed I must have missed it, so next time I ask those questions please ignore the post, and allow others to answer.
