Didnt want to get any closer to him cos the whiff was staggering
EDEXCEL should scrap the courses altogether

Why cos one of their suppliers whiffs. Should have had the bottle to tell him/her. It's not like you haven't got enough to say on here

The only smell in the classroom when i took the btec came from the teacher it caused most of us to walk out later i was reliably informed that 85 per cent of btec nvq vrq assesors pong so i did learn something

That's a childish comment, but, if true I don't blame you for walking out. As for the realiability of the comment regarding 85% of assessors that would depend on whether the source had met all of them surely. I however am more than confident that I would sit in the remaining 15%.

As I said if you are fortunate enough to be one of those people who know it all then obviouly nothing else can improve you and it's a shame that to keep your badge you have to do things you don't want to. There is one thing that I've learnt in life and that is if somebody decides that you have to do or have something to continue doing something you want to, then you will do it.

Perhaps a course that covers taxi/ph law, transport law(both Uk and EU), the dft, the dda, car mechanics, a dsa test (if not already in place), everything you need to know about running a small business, union law and how to form associations so that intelligent and constructive contribution to the taxi trade can be attained etc etc etc would be more useful to the average taxi driver. Not fogetting the teaching of Enlish for the speakers of another language, literacy and numeracy for everybody.

I also think with things changing so often e.g the law, vehicles and people slipping into bad habits regarding driving maybe a refresher of all this every 5 years may be considered useful too or would you consider that extreme. If we have to consider those that already know the basics then this is the way forward IMO

Yep childish comment indeed as were your lines in the first place on cab drivers hygiene
Makes me wonder how i managed build up a superb business for twenty years without these idiot courses

Thats not a childish comment, that a fact, some drivers dont even wash from one week to the next  some look like tattie sacks tied in the middle, and if your unlucky to get an Asian driver it will smell like last weeks curry that you forgot to put in the fridge
