I always find I slow down at those signs that show you what speed you are currently doing as you approach them. I think that's a fairer system cos sometimes you don't always realise you're speeding especially if you slow down when coming off motorways and dual carriageways :D

many years ago, when hand held radar guns first appeared a motorist thought a real gun was being aimed at him, ducked, swerved and had an accident, following that all police were supposed to wear a hi-viz jacket if using a hand held unit and be visible, however new digital cameras can be tripod mounted, with the officer sat in a car 5 metres away connected by cable, face it, we dont have a chance

BTW, if you get done, go to court and request the valid certificate for the unit to say it was checked for that day, its worth a punt...........

I've just thought of the perfect solution, it's foolproof and will keep your license clean, no fee's or membership required.

Obey the speed limit.

That's what these big signs with red circles and numbers in the middle of them are for.

Well said GBC, and of course if they go a couple of mph over the limit then wallop them with a stick and shove them to the ground and too bad if they happen to die?

Do speed cameras do that?

Wow, that's good, Tayside must have some really advanced ones compared to down here, do they talk as well?

You would be amazed . . . but no one carries the can.
