They'd better not pull this Civil shi* with me .. . you do the job, you get paid, enough is enough . . . .

Just look at em all in the link...grinning away like the cats that got the cream...they sit there so smug on huge salarys and huger expenses,.

They should remember that they were elected by the people to act on behalf of the people...and the people are getting totally P*ssed off with their arrogance and domineereing ways, so much so that one day the worm will turn.

So the simple answer has to be that ALL customers must pay a deposit of at least the full fare at the start of the journey and receive their change at the end of the journey. Problem solved.

fixed fares up front
i think thats the way to go,when you think about it its probably the biggest bone of contention with passengers, that they only really have an estimete of the cost of there journey, watching the price rise on a meter for whatever reason be that traffic or whatever ,it will bring the blood pressure up ,its then all to easy then to look for someone to blame and thats when you get problem passengers.
money up front i say.
zone it

You don't even need to zone it. In this day and age you can easily get the distance from pick up to set down and work the fare out. Ok that won't allow for stoppages and the like but round our way that is not usually a problem.

I wil say it again:Until this is sorted out in law, I would urge all our brothers & sisters up north to obtain the fare up front before departure. You would if you got on a bus or a train!

They get "runners" (fare dodgers) on trains as well.

The rail companies have got their own statutes to sort out their non-payers.
