Skippy, dont know where the money is coming from, but, talk on the ltda blog is the garages are talking about the forthcoming cab, also on Friday M+O texted all the drivers whos numbers they possessed to tell every one on the ranks that a part exchange deal was available, three grand whatever the age and condition against current new stock. The last time they did this was just before the change fron TX2 to TX4. I think the story has legs, but, the next month will tell.

Heaven forbid Scots Borders Council actually bring in a WAV policy......skip would be out of the door faster than Jack Robinson.

Could Miss Lunt take out a court order to force the council to licence it earlier????/

She is at liberty to do what she likes, but leaving things alone is the fastest way to get the E7 approved IMO.

Sorry Skippy your metro cab would not meet the criteria but you could always do it up and sell ice cream from it

You are right The London taxi blogs are talking Nissan engine and 6 inches more space on the passenger floor. The last critic of the TX4 by the depac groups was that the TX 4 was several inches short for turning wheelchairs. Thats why I believe the gossip on the London blogs. But hold your breath it is only a month away (allegedly)

Where are they going to get the money from, the Coventry plant is almost under the threat of cl-osier, they don't have enough to make a new one

It wouldn't take much to substitute the engine and box for another one. Lengthening the chassis by 6" shouldn't be too much effort either.
Couple of minor style/trim changes, and the rest would still be the same crap as before. No need to build them here either.
Call it a TX5 and jack the price up to cover the costs. Bob's your uncle.

I can hold my hand on my heart and say the only forum I've been 'banned' from was the now defunct Black Cab Forum which was run by the cretin from Wembley.

And what a loss that was in my life.

Once I stopped posting the forum shut down!
