I ask because a brand new E7 has just appeared on the streets of sunny Lincoln.

Bought to replace a 56 plate (owned from new) E7, which was, to use a technical term, phuct.

Owner driver, poor vehicle, or ruff driver?

Run into the ground in four years, and four major visits to the bodyshop.

I'm running a sweepstake on how long this one lasts.

I think they are better than the old model. I think the answer is to work it to buggery during the warranty period and then trade it in.
