Let me give everyone a dilemma to consider. Whilst some of us may personally find cigarette smoke disgusting and may always have refused smokers entry (regardless of contradictory laws/bylaws)....what would you do if a compulsive smoker asked if you'd take him on a "deadline job" which would clock £200 or more, but demanded to smoke fairly continually, so continual stops were not acceptable? Money or morals and the law? Hmmm!

Id never dream of taking him...

To me this is the same as weapons of mass destruction... which were not found... there is still no evidence according to the scientists that secondary smoking causes cancer....

Just out of interest, The ban on smoking in work vehicles also includes vans and trucks that are used by more than one person. How many people using vans and trucks have been prosecuted for smoking whilst in the vehicle?

He had lung cancer. He didn't smoke so it must have been everyone elses second hand fag smoke. It couldn't possibly have been anything else could it?
I mean people didn't get lung cancer pre Walter Raleigh did they?
Mr Castle, careful fellow that he was, never came into contact with any other carcinogenous substance did he? Asbestos, chemicals, vehicle exhaust fumes etc.

The real truth is that nobody knows how Roy Castle developed cancer.
For all we know, the poor sod got it from something he cleaned his trumpet with.

This much is true: The anti-smoking brigade siezed on the man's unfortunate death and cynically manipulated it for their own ends.

I think, if you care to check, that Roy Castle himself was convinced that his lung cancer came from working in smokey jazz clubs. He set up the Roy Castle cancer charity to help raise money for research.

You believe what you want to believe regarding his death but I will look at the probabilities and that is enough to convince me how he came to get lung cancer.

Convinced or not, that doesn't make it a fact.
As Sussex said, some people believe the moon is made of cheese.
