They say nothing to you and your like as it would be a pointless exercise akin to talking to the wall.

Large operators make most of their money via account work, they make nothing if one of their drivers is operating illegally.

I never asked them to say anything to me, but there's more than just me in London, there's trade papers, The Evening Standard, The Minicab news (available in 17 different languages) The PCO etc.

Nothing. Silence. :-#

They don't give a hoot as long as there's a never ending supply of sub standard drivers who are willing to line their pockets with rental money.

That's the reality. [-(

I don't believe there should be any difference in the standards of the drivers knowledge of any area they work (even London). HC and PH should all do the same knowledge test. Perhaps with regards to London the minicab drivers should start with a less intense knowledge test with a time limit to complete and pass the full knowledge test or they're out. Perhaps when caught touting or working for touts they should lose they'e license

PH should know where they're going......its part of the contract between the customer and operator.

They were too busy with the 8 Minicab drivers who commit sexual attacks every month, or who try to injure Police Officers in their Ford Galaxy's down Clapham Way.

In all fairness Worboys was keeping up with iffy minicabs drivers all on his own.

Then you'll know that 70% of the allegations were against licensed Minicab drivers Don.
Just like the majority arrested for touting are licensed Minicab drivers.
Just like when John Mason has been out and about with us and touted by licensed Minicab drivers.

For the 9th time, ask the Met's Transport Command for yourself if you doubt them.

What is it with the truth and facts and the GMB? Do you subscribe to the theory that you shut your eyes and cover your ears, it will all go away?

I as one GMB member have no problem with the truth, the problem I have is the constant barrage of highlighting problems within the London PH industry, whilst any breaking of the law is unacceptable it should be remembered that there are thousands of decent hard working London PH drivers licensed by the PCO.

Regards
BB

Could'nt agree more Mr BB.

Problem is I don't make the news, they do, and as this is a trade forum the stories are going to be posted on here.

You forget, you work in the B&H trade with the same strict controls for both Taxi and PH.

In London we have always had high standards and regulations in our sector, probably the best quality controls in the world, but the other side doesn't, and the London Minicab trade remains unique, but not in a good way, hence the never ending news reports of wrongdoing.

And then we find your London branch working with the man who was described as a slave driver and various other names.

It would be nice instead, to see them working hard to raise standards amongst their side of the trade instead of worrying about a Bus Lane in Bromley.

Maybe they are doing both.
